Did you know that Fasthosts services are also entirely green? Fasthosts is part of United Internet’s Global Green Initiative whose renewable resources will save 30,000 tons of CO2 per year.
By being green-conscious, individuals and organizations alike can ensure that we not only stop destroying our environment, but actually see things improve for future generations. Below is a list of ways that Fasthosts ensures that we do our part to preserve the planet and stay green:
Fasthosts’ Data Center works in cooperation with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). The energy purchased for the facility is enough clean energy to power at least 300 US homes for one year.
Fasthosts’ Kansas Data Center purchases RECs(Renewable Energy Certificates) to offset 100% of the energy usage. The majority of the RECs will be sourced from the Bowersock Mills and Power Company’s hydroelectric facility in Lawrence, Kansas. This hydroelectric facility is certified low impact by the Low Impact Hydro Institute (LIHI).
